Karlovassi is one of two ports on the island of Samos, the other being Vathi. Karlovassi is situated on the North of Samos, connecting the island to Piraeus, Syros, Evdilos and Mykonos.

Ferries to and from Karlovassi

Hellenic Seaways fleet currently consists of 34 ships. 15 conventional ferries and 19 high-speed vessels. As well as a range of cabins, the ferries offer the latest features such as restaurants, shops and sun-decks. Some ferries also have swimming pools which can be used in the summer months. Karlovassi has a rich history of culture and commerce because of the flourishing tobacco and tannery manufacturing centres in the town from the early 1900's.

Karlovassi is a thriving town with many beautiful neoclassical buildings and the remains of the large old stone built factories. It is also home for the University of Aegean. Apart from the historic and architectural charm, Karlovassi has a beautiful sand and pebbled beach with taverns and sunbeds along the bay.
