Saranda, also known as Sarandë, is a town in the county of Vlore in southern Albania. Ferries from Saranda sail to Brindisi, a major port in mainland Italy. The route is operated by Red Star Ferries, and you can book ferries to and from Saranda with AFerry.

Saranda is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination. The town lies south of Italy and adjacent to Corfu, with a comparible climate but much cheaper accommodation and excursions.

Getting to Saranda
Saranda is a three and a half hour drive (approx) from Vlore, using the SH4 which is inland. Alternatively there is a longer coastal route using the SH8, taking approximately four and a half hours.
